Terms of Service

Last updated 20 Oct 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use hatmac.com and rent a cloud Mac from Hatmac, a service operated by Hatmac LLC, ("Hatmac", "we", "us"). By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Hatmac rents dedicated Apple Mac computers (Mac mini and Mac Studio) hosted in our facilities, which you access remotely over SSH and Screen Sharing. Each subscription gives you one specific machine for the term you pay for.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep your password secure.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and on your Mac.
  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to order.

3. Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in US dollars and are paid in advance for the whole term (monthly, 6 months or 12 months).
  • We accept card payments through Stripe, PayPal, and Bitcoin or USDT through Plisio. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Your Mac is set up after your payment is confirmed. We email your login details when it's ready.
  • Coupons apply only to the order they are used on, unless the coupon says otherwise.

4. Renewals, late payment and cancellation

  • We send a renewal invoice about 7 days before your term ends. Pay it in your account to keep your Mac.
  • If a renewal invoice is still unpaid 3 days after its due date, we may suspend access until it is paid.
  • You can cancel at any time in your account. Your Mac stays available until the end of the term you've paid for.
  • When a subscription ends, the Mac is wiped and given to another customer. Copy your data off before your term ends.
  • Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use a Hatmac machine to:

  • break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • send spam, run phishing, host malware, or attack or scan other systems without permission;
  • mine cryptocurrency, or resell or share access to the machine without our written agreement;
  • use Apple software in a way that breaks Apple's licence terms.

We may suspend a machine immediately to stop serious abuse, and will tell you why.

6. Your data and backups

You own the data on your Mac. We don't access it except to provide support you ask for, to keep the service secure, or when the law requires. You are responsible for your own backups.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep every machine online, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service unless a written service level agreement says so. We announce planned maintenance in advance where we can. Support is provided through tickets in your account.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected subscription in the 3 months before the claim.

9. Ending these Terms

You can close your account at any time. We may end or suspend your service if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes go to the courts of Kuala Lumpur.
